Mr. Peter Afunanya has been announced as the Supervising Director of the newly established Directorate of Public Relations and Strategic Communications of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The initiative is part of the DSS’s efforts to engage with citizens and the public, promoting democratic governance, transparency, as well as accountability.
This was made known by the DSS in a statement shared on its X handle on Wednesday.
As part of his duties, Mr. Afunanya will be overseeing the Directorate and manage the service’s public communications.
The security agency commended its Director General, Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi, for initiating the expansion and appointing MR. Afunanya to lead the Directorate.
